down to buisness

today was our first official day that we got down and dirty and did some hard work
the boys were at HO {Head Office} all day today
cleaning and painting the front gate
Will stayed with the boys and helped out
once again he was adored by all the transform staff,
they played with him and bought him food and drinks.

us girls took our lovely friend Poh {she is PA to Emily who is the national director} and did a little, no make that a lot of shopping!
some lovely friends and family of our had given us some money to bring to Cambodia to give to Transform Cambodia
so today we took that money and bought the centers school and art supplies.
Poh and our wonderful driver Pheary took us to the Russian Market

i am in LOVE with that market!
i am keen to return there later and buy up some lovely treasures for myself
but today was all about shopping for the kiddies.
yesterday Dianne and I worked on some world view curriculum ideas for the leaders to teach the children in the transform centers.
we are going to be running art workshops for the leaders over the next two days, showing them ideas on how they can implement the world view curriculum
so when we went shopping today we bought world maps, atlas, books, world globes and lots of art supplies.

by the time we were finished our tuk tuk was full to overflowing!
i am so glad that we had Poh to help us out, she was a real treasure and was great at talking with the stall owners and negotiating a good price for us.

tomorrow we are all back to work again
the boys will be back at HO to finish their painting
and Di and I will be working out of center six {there are 14 centers all together}, running an art workshop.

the weather is hot, the air is dusty and the city is busy
but the people are lovely and so welcoming
they really appreciate that we are here to help and that makes everything worthwhile
