a warm welcome... in so many ways

we touched down yesterday in phnom peng late in the afternoon
and we were greeted with a very warm welcome
first by the heat and then by a sweet young lady named Poh
she is from Transform Cambodia and already knows Rob and Di {Greg's Mum and Dad, this is there third visit to Cambodia}
she came running at us full of smiles and hugs, it was lovely.

our tuk tuk driver was waiting for us
he name is Pheray
he works for transform and is always available to us to use
if he is busy he then organises another driver for us.

he drove us to our hotel
the royal palace hotel
it is comfy, they serve us breakfast, it is air conditioned and it has a nice pool on the roof top.
the staff are super friendly, just hard to understand!
there is a bit of a communication barrier but we are getting by.

Rob and Di are staying in an apartment above one of the transform centers
which is a short tuk tuk drive away

today we headed out into the city to have a look around.
first we headed over to center three to pick up Rob and Di and say hello to the kids.
they were very excited to meet us, full of smiles and hellos
William was a little overwhelmed by all the attention so he climbed up into the safety of his daddy's arms.

we had a little drive around the tourist part of town and along the river
and we stopped for lunch in a little cafe

this afternoon we are chilling in our hotel room and this evening we are heading out to dinner with a bunch of Aussies who are also over helping out Transform.
